Description

What this script does is save you hundreds or thousands of hours of work by creating your thumbnail galleries completely automatic. Then to top it all off, it even goes and submit them to 30 TGP's for you!!

Installation

Step #1
-------

Load Gallery.pl into your text editor and the edit the lines shown below inserting the correct information.

$name = 'your name';
( your name or nickname to be sent to TGP's )

$banurl = 'http://yourdomain.com/banner.jpg';
( The location of a banner advertising your site )

$domainurl = "http://yourdaomin.com/gallery";
( Surfer path to your gallery no / at the end)

$serverpath = "/web/sites/yourdomain.com/gallery";
( Server path to your gallery no / at the end)

$indexname = "index.html";
( What name do you want to call the gallery page )

$cjpeg="/usr/bin/cjpeg";
( path to cjpeg )

$djpeg="/usr/bin/djpeg";
( path to djpeg )

$pnmscale="/usr/bin/pnmscale";
( Path to pnmscale )

$mailprogram = "/usr/sbin/sendmail -t";
( Location of sendmail program )

$myemail = 'youremailaddy@yourisp.com';
( Your address used for submission )

$pagehtml = 1;
( 1 = create an html page link 0 = create a jpg link ) ( Will create an html or a jpg link to thumbs in the index.html )

$mail_me = 1;
( 1 = yes 0 = no )

$width=85;
$height=85;
This is the maximum size for each thumbnail image these numbers should be the same the program will scale odd dimension images automatically these are limits

$num_thumbs=25;
( How many Thumbs per page )

$per_row=5;
( How many images in each row )

$nosubmit=1;
( Should the program Submit the galleries automatically 1 = no 0 = yes )

Edit Banners.txt adding one banner per line usig the following format bannername.gif http://www.young-n-sexy.com/ banner text (banner name) (Url to attach to banner ) (Banner text )

Edit descriptions.txt adding one line of text per line in the file

Edit textlinks.txt adding one text link per line using the following format:
http://test1.com LinkText

Edit imagepage.tmpl Which is the html used to display the Fullsize pic to your liking

Edit /templates/template.txt Which is the page used to display the thumbnails to your liking

Upload All file in ASCII mode using you ftp program except those files in the following subdirectories

/banners
/images


Which both need the file contained within to be uploaded in Binary mode

Telnet To your host and switch the the directory containing gallery.pl and issue the following command :

chmod 755 gallery.pl

Running

Telnet to your server where the script resides and type the following:

./gallery.pl



(IE: gallery.pl gallery1 Teens and nothing but teen pictures )

Thats it. Everytime you type the command and parameters the script will create and submit a brand new gallery. Simple eh? =)

If you get "cp: `images/file.jpg' and `images/file.jpg' are the same or "cp: `thumbs/file.jpg and `thumbs/file.jpg' are the same. Don't worry, the script still works.

%sitename% Will be replaced by the sites name Specified on the command line
%banner% Will be replaced by a random banner from banners.txt
%textlink% Will be replaced by a random text banner line from textlinks.txt
%thumbtable% Will be replaced with the table of thumbnails
%tgplink% Will replace each instance with one Thumb Gallery link

*Important note * Thumbgallery post site do not like a lot of " extra" links in the galleries it is suggested you use between 4-8 per gallery ideally 4 or 5

%banner% Will place one random banner from banners.txt
%textlink% Will be replaced by one random text banner from textlinks.txt
%img% Is placed once usually in the middle of the template and is replaced by the fullsize image

*Important note* The actual img resides in the images/ directory and must be referenced that way in your templates IE: images/%img% otherwise you will get broken image links
